About Me

Hi–I'm Satyajit Rout. I wear two hats.

I'm a career coach who works with emerging leaders and midcareer professionals who've hit a fork in the road. My job is to help them choose the best path for themselves by articulating their goals and figuring out a way to reach them so that their transition can be smooth and work more purposeful. I typically work with clients over the course of 3-6 months, but occasionally I do have one-time coaching sessions focusing on a specific challenge the client may be facing.

I'm a decision-making trainer who helps small and medium organizations, founders, and high-potential managers have a deeper impact by improving the quality of their decision-making. Becoming a better decision-maker at work seeps into all areas of life. My clients benefit from such osmosis.

Prior to running my own coaching and consulting business, I enjoyed a successful 15-year corporate career where I:

Set up two global businesses (Impact Science AND Paperpal) and taken them from 0 to 1;
Was the business owner for 25+ member product and service teams across geographies;
Developed two service lines that grew to over $40M revenue organically (Premium Editing Service AND Publication Support Services);
Hands-on B2B sales and account management experience across US, UK, Japan, and South Korea; and
Designed and executed org-wide change initiatives (variable pay programs and performance index).

Between 2021-2023, I was head of Cactus Accelerator that invested in early-stage startups at the intersection of science and technology. I've also worked on M&As, post-merger integration, and other aspects of corporate development for over half a decade.

I believe that each of us has the potential to solve our own problems and I'm committed to helping others unlock access to that potential through coaching and mentoring. I've currently completed my training to be an ICF-credentialed professional coach.
